Το sh2 161 είναι ένα τεράστιο σε έκταση διαχεόμενο νεφέλωμα στη περιοχή της Κασσιόπης.
Είναι αρκετά κοντά στο διάσημο νεφέλωμα της φούσκας (Bubble Nebula,NGC 7635).
Το μικρό νεφέλωμα πάνω και αριστερά είναι το SH2 158(NGC 7538).
